In Week 2, you learned about the importance of making sure the goals, objectives, and standards in your lesson plans are aligned. This week, we will take this idea a bit further and look at the importance of alignment between objectives and assessments in lesson planning. If our assessment doesn’t measure the outcome of our objectives, how will we ever know whether or not students are meeting those objectives? We must carefully craft assessments that align correctly with our objectives.
